Tennessee Freedom Circle Education Fund is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities in Tennessee with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about reproductive healthcare issues.

We support the fundamental right to comprehensive reproductive education, support services, and care by educating about current laws and contemporary issues. As committed Tennesseans, we are building a statewide network to foster understanding and support around reproductive freedom.

  • Elizabeth Noel Sitgreaves

    BOARD MEMBER

    Elizabeth Sitgreaves focuses her practice on civil litigation on both the trial and appellate level. She has represented clients throughout all stages of litigation including depositions, mediations, trials, and appeals.

    Prior to joining Littler, she worked at regional firms with an emphasis on tort and personal injury and appellate litigation, where she has represented clients in both state and federal courts. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Frank G. Clement, Jr., Tennessee Court of Appeals.

  • Bonnie Dow

    BOARD MEMBER

    Bonnie Dow is Distinguished Professor of the Communication of Science and Technology at Vanderbilt University where she also serves as the Vice Dean and Dean of Faculty Affairs for the College of Arts and Science.

    Dow is a graduate of the 2017 class of Leadership Nashville, and a co-founder and former Chair of the Board of Directors of Women for Tennessee’s Future, a political action committee created to fund women candidates for state and local public office. She also has served on the Board of Directors of the Nashville Repertory Theatre, the Nashville Public Library Foundation, the Nashville Metro Arts Commission, and the Women’s Political Collaborative of Tennessee.

  • Scott Tift

    BOARD MEMBER

    Scott Tift is an attorney who represents plaintiffs in civil rights litigation, employees in disputes with their employers, and labor unions on the many issues they face.

    Scott is Tennessee’s leading litigator on issues of reproductive freedom. Prior to the Dobbs decision, Scott represented clinics across Tennessee as plaintiffs in federal litigation challenging three of the State’s barriers to abortion access: a 48-hour waiting period, an ambulatory surgical treatment center requirement, and an admitting privileges requirement.

  • Monica Mackie

    BOARD MEMBER

    Monica Mackie is a thirty-five-year veteran of the legal industry, and most recently was the Executive Director of the Nashville Bar Association.

    Prior to the NBA, she was the president of Monaco Management, providing services in the areas of leadership training, seminars, law practice management, business development, special events, corporate retreats, fundraising and general business operations. Monica holds a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University in political science and is certified to administer the MBTI®, also known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. She resides in Franklin, TN, with her husband, John.

  • Elise Boos

    Elise Boos, MD MSc FACOG

    BOARD MEMBER

    Elise Boos is an OB/GYN in Nashville who is board certified in Complex Family Planning. She focuses her clinical practice, advocacy and research on the equitable provision of evidence-based reproductive healthcare.

    In recent years, Elise has played an active role in seeking further exceptions to TN’s abortion ban and ensuring consistency in clinical care across the state.  She currently serves as the TN ACOG Hollis Fellow and is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association.
